Chrysanthemum Festival

Hello everyone.

This is Midopa, an online staff member.

September 9th is the Choyo Festival.

From praying for good health and displaying chrysanthemums to pray for good health.

It is also called ``Chrysanthemum Festival''.

This is the chrysanthemum festival setting at the main store.

It is believed that covering a chrysanthemum with cotton at night and wiping your body with the cotton soaked with morning dew the next morning will ward off evil spirits.

When you see a chrysanthemum covered with cotton, it looks like it's wearing a fluffy hat🤭👒

(*Due to the main building being under construction, this installation is not currently available.)

Since ancient times, the time of the Chrysanthemum Festival has also been the time to harvest autumn crops, so there are also customs of eating chestnut rice and drinking chrysanthemum wine.

Today, it's tea time with chrysanthemum flowers floating in tea, and not just chrysanthemum sake, but "chrysanthemum tea" 🍵

And for the afternoon treat, the limited-time Namacha jelly [Chestnut Kinton] is the perfect choice 😊🌰
