May 5th is Children's Day

hello everyone.

This is midopa from the online staff.

May 5th is "Tango no Sekku".

Carp streamers that wish for children's health are swimming here and there.

There is also a carp streamer in the cafe at the head office.

At the main store in Uji, satsuki dolls and armor are displayed in the tatami room every year.

This culture was originally brought over from China in the Edo period.

Also known as the "Shobu no Sekku" festival,

In China, people drink iris wine, but in Japan, it's called iris water.

At the head office, irises with purple flowers were also displayed together.

And speaking of Boys' Festival!

We will have kashiwa mochi and chimaki 😊🍵

Kashiwamochi is popular in the Kanto region, and chimaki is popular in the Kansai region.

Kashiwa leaves do not fall off until the next new sprout emerges.

It is said that the custom of eating kashiwa mochi spread because it is considered to be a lucky charm that does not end in the family lineage.

A day to pray for the safety and growth of children.

I hope you spend your days in good health🎏
