This luxurious financier contains a single chestnut and is very delicious.
The financier itself is moist and has a strong tea flavor, and the chestnuts are plump and tender, making this one of my favorite baked goods.
I think this is a great sweet to bring as a gift.

Chestnuts can be hit or miss...

I love Nakamura's financier dough and had high expectations. However, the chestnut was soft and delicious in only one of the six pieces. The remaining five were too hard to chew, so I removed the chestnut. I like the dough, so I gave it three stars, but it was a bit disappointing.
